Can start any time! Joining mid-month? No problem. Price can be prorated next registration. As for monthly fees, most months have 4 weeks, otherwise fees will be reflected.

Purchase a month of classes and at month’s end, let us know if you’d like to continue on. If so, we require a month’s notice to exit this class so that we have time to fill the seat , thanks!

Class Description:

Ashley focuses on balancing structure with creative freedom in her art classes. She combines technical drawing 'rules' with a heavy creative-concept focus by way of various mediums outside of the traditional pencil mark-makings. Art-makers will often participate in challenges to open up their creative spectrum or push pass creative blocks and there is plenty of freedom for individual projects.

Although Drawing is the primary focus in this class, Ashley also encourages acrylic, watercolour painting as well

Art Supplies:

Sketchbook/canvas, painters tape and whatever medium they chose (pen and ink, magazines, pastels, watercolour, gouache, markers, acrylic paints....etc) Please see our full list of art materials and read more about Ashley in ‘additional info’

About Ashley:

Ashley was trained in Calgary by Fine Artist Chris Jordan for six years before graduating from Vancouver Film School in Film, TV, and Cosmetics. Spending ten years in the Film industry was an artful challenge, where her creativity and sense of aesthetic was honed. Today, Ashley harnesses whimsey and darkness to create pieces that focus on women, fantasy, and the delicate eccentricities of human nature. Her style is flexible and dynamic, largely informed by her sense of magic and knowledgeable use of various mediums, which include watercolour/gouache, collage, pen-and-ink, pencil, acrylic, and pastels. Her dynamic and positive approach makes her an excellent teacher for all ages.

Additional Policies:

Register for one month today and choose to keep your place month-to-month thereafter. One month notice to withdraw from class is required after initial trial month so we have time to fill the slot, thanks!There are no refunds after registration. No refunds for missed classes. Monthly fees for art classes are due the last class of the month prior. ie: Due date for April’s classes is last week of March.

If a class is cancelled by the instructor due to illness/family emergencies, etc. credit will be given for future classes or a replacement teacher will facilitate the class in their place.
